NewHomeSource is a large-scale real estate platform that helps homebuyers discover new construction homes, communities, and builders across the United States. I contributed to the evolution of the platform by developing and improving customer-facing experiences, integrating frontend features with backend services, and supporting a scalable and maintainable frontend architecture.

An interactive event platform built for Elanco customers to discover products, participate in activities, win prizes, and engage with the brand during live events and shows. The platform was designed to support multiple Elanco events, combining a mobile-first customer experience with a flexible content management system and internal administration tools.

Interwell health - Serving patients
Redesign and development of the Interwell Health website using Next.js and Sitecore XM Cloud, with a strong focus on modern UI, animations, reusable components, and a flexible content-driven architecture. The project was built during the early adoption of XM Cloud, when the platform and its documentation were still evolving, making the integration a significant technical challenge.

Lu studio - Making a Name
LU Studio is an independent digital studio founded by my brother, Bruno Gatjens, and me with the goal of helping small and medium-sized businesses build a strong digital presence through high-quality design and development at accessible prices. Bruno led the visual design and branding, while I focused on bringing the experience to life through frontend development, animations, responsive implementation, and the technical architecture of the website.

The project was developed in close collaboration with the design team, creating a flexible foundation that could be reused and extended across different pages and future digital experiences.

NI - Solutions from Emerson
Large-scale redesign of NI.com, an enterprise website with thousands of pages powered by Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). The project followed a progressive redesign strategy, modernizing the platform in stages while building reusable components and multiple Angular mini-applications integrated with the existing AEM ecosystem.

Organic - Crazy chicken
Development of Organic's digital presence using Gatsby, with a strong focus on reusable architecture, performance, animations, and consistent implementation of the designs created in Figma. The project also became a foundation for creating future websites, with reusable components and a custom Gatsby theme designed to accelerate development across projects.

Marco's Pizza
Custom WordPress website developed for Marco's Pizza, built entirely from scratch without relying on a pre-built or third-party theme. The project combined WordPress content management with custom templates, styling, responsive layouts, and animations to create a tailored digital experience.

OR Turnover Tracker App
OR Tracker is a cloud-based application designed to provide medical center teams and patients with a centralized communication hub and access to real-time case management information. The platform included both a React Native mobile application and a React web application, connected to a shared Node.js backend and cloud infrastructure hosted on AWS.

Landofrost - Passion for Food
Redesign of the Land O'Frost website using a completely custom WordPress implementation, with a strong focus on interactive experiences, animations, and smooth transitions between pages. The website was built from scratch without relying on pre-built WordPress themes, providing a custom frontend experience while allowing content to be managed through WordPress.

Redesign of the Mergeworld website using Sitecore XP, combining a custom frontend experience with Sitecore's content management capabilities. The project was built using the traditional Sitecore integration approach, with custom templates, components, styles, and animations integrated into the Sitecore XP platform.

ArmorAll Redesign
Redesign of the official Armor All website, developed using a two-phase approach that allowed frontend and backend teams to work independently before integrating the final experience into Drupal. During the first phase, the complete frontend was built as a standalone Jekyll site, including page templates, responsive layouts, and interactive components. The second phase focused on integrating those templates and functionality into Drupal.

Hangar Careers
Hangar Careers was a custom recruiting platform built to manage job openings and simplify the application process for candidates interested in joining Hangar. The platform included a public careers experience where candidates could explore available positions and submit their information, as well as an internal administration area for the recruiting team to manage jobs and review applications.

CafeBritt - Welcome
Redesign of the official Café Britt website, focused on building the complete presentation layer and creating a reusable frontend foundation for integration with the existing backend. The project separated frontend implementation from backend development, providing the Café Britt team with documented components and ready-to-integrate HTML, styles, and frontend functionality.

STP - Engine & Fuel Systems
Redesign of the official STP website using a two-phase development process that separated frontend implementation from CMS integration. The first phase was developed as a standalone Jekyll website, where the complete frontend experience, templates, responsive layouts, and interactive functionality were created before being integrated into Drupal during the second phase.

Criticalmass - The Beginning
Critical Mass was where I started my professional career in web development, working on digital experiences for large international brands and gaining exposure to a wide variety of technologies and development challenges. During this period, I worked across websites, email development, mobile applications, APIs, CMS integrations, and some of my earliest experiences with decoupled frontend and backend architectures.
